well I'm sure you're going to love Spain and Berlin is supposed to be very artsy, with lots of art museums and galleries and GlobeTrotter had this amazing show on Berlin featuring this "vintage clothing" guy who was fascinating...but please, no perms!
Go to Schonhauser allee in berlin, there are loads of great 2nd hand stores and a table tennis bar called Dr Pong.

Thank you everyone! Liz, I did indeed go to Schonhauser allee (more than once) and picked up a few goodies here and there. Unfortunately we ran out of time and didn't get a chance to go to Dr Pong. Next time, definitely.
